We always hoped that this journey across France would be one of enjoyment, while accepting the inevitable challenges for three non-cyclists. Obviously, there has already been moments where the aches, pains - and yes it’s started - chaffing raises questions in your mind about why.

Simply, we’ve all had the great privilege to to have family members use the incredibly supportive and professional services of our hospices and we have worked for them, as well.

This challenge gives us the opportunity to reach out, raise awareness and fundraisers for our four hospices.

We feel incredibly humbled by the generosity it’s of so many, our families, friends, colleagues and other supporters who have given. A massive thank you to all in equal measures.

We would like to share one moment on our journey that will stay with us: while on the ferry to Roscoff, we met young Hannah, her father Steve, Mum and sister (The Strong Girls Club). Hannah had so much life and energy and following the quiz we socialised through the evening. Along with another family, who we did not know (but they loved Chucks joke!) we raised valuable funds that evening - and we won the quiz!

When the legs are heavy (heavier than normal), and the body is yelling for us to stop, the amazing endeavours of our Hospices is like a balm for tired limbs and keeps us focused to the end of the day.

Thank you so much for following us on this odyssey, and in particular for your generous support. We are a third towards our £4,000 target! Please keep sharing our journey, you are all in our hearts.

Aaron, Rich and Chuck.
