Well reader this is it, the last instalment. It’s been a fairytale ride so thanks for tuning in. Am sorry it’s late but am cycling across northern Spain which can broadly described as “hilly”. ☹️
Day 14 largely went without a hitch except for the boys taking the piss. Am not sure if I can use the phrase “taking the piss” but Aaron isn’t here to ask so am assuming it’s ok. It’s seems that they had used my worldly advice (make moments and it’s about the journey not the end point) and put it on a plate to go cold then served it with second helpings. Well I suppose I deserved it.
Talking about the journey there is one road from Biarritz to hendaye and Aaron got us lost (again!). As we cycled up a 1:11 hill (steep for those uninitiated, not something I would want to do again) dodging young children happily on there way to the beach for a lovely family day out. When I say all, I meant all but one, but he deserved it. We arrived in hendaye to rapturous applause from Kirsty and the girls.
Accommodation
Well done Forbsey on the shed and tent. Well done Aaron for the ex concentration camp they called a hostel
Well done me for the memorable “pink pussy 🐈⬛ parlour”.
Moments
Thanks to Aaron for creating a couple of great wine moments.
Thanks to Forbsey for shattering his back tire in searing heat but close to a place that sold beer. Genius!!!!
Thanks to the bloke ( the one who kept shaking his head) who fixed his bike.
Things that Chuck forgot
How great it is to cycle for a great cause with 2 brilliant (ok) mates.
Things that Chuck remembered
Where my assassination list is.
But I will find it……
Thanks to everyone who donated and followed us on the journey. Your likes and views spurred us on.
So finally as the Spanish magician said…..
Uno, dos and we all disappeared without…….
Thanks Chuck we shall miss your daily brief x
