Canals, rivers, coastline and countryside

started on the coast and had to contend with hundreds of people out for theirSunday morning run. It was another hot day and we have some real concerns about Chuck. He refused to stop at a TABAC (the pub) for lunch, instead choosing the supermarket. Things seemed better when he stopped at the beer fridge, but then complained that they only had strong lager!!!! Then the real cry for help. He couldn’t drink it and threw half down the drain. His only excuse was that ‘it was the wrong type of beer!’

Anyway, we rolled through Rochefort for lunch and a tour of the naval Arsenal and the really cool transporter bridge.

Excitement to finish with cat rescue that left us late to our destination with any food. Luckily the apartment had use of a pool and we found a restaurant only a few KM away. Tired and happy day!
