Up at 5:40 this morning to ensure we had options for the wildfire zone. In theory all cycle paths shut at 14:00. Things started well (but bloody cold!) and we bypassed a couple of ´interdit’ signs before finally hitting a proper block. Our plans of viewing the biggest sand dune in Europe cane to an end and we were left to hit the main roads for 20km. Thank you to everyone who showed patience in over taking us but the bloke in the silver Audi can do one!

Anyway, we got to cycle round a beautiful lake and rolled into our accommodation by mid afternoon. May actually have chance to wash our kit properly and relax for a change.
