Mileage - maybe 90km

Meanwhile back in 2012 the Volcanic ice cloud had been thwarted by Hadrians wall so the boys were safe ……

Day Eleven – Church Stretton to Ross on Wye Off to Kitch's, Biggest Brewery Outside of Germany

Some good speed on good roads today. 55 miles completed by 1700. A slight

change of accommodation thanks to Chucks mate Kitch. Staying in Ross On Wye. A great dinner and a fine glass of wine. Many thanks for your generous hospitality

We were delayed for an hour and a half in Leominster because of another problem

with chucks bike. Over aggressive mounting of curbs broke one of his spokes and buckled his wheels. The chap in Phill Prothero Cycles fixed his wheel in record time ahead of his scheduled work.

Note to Welsh FA

Went past a field today and saw a sheep with the number 8 on his back. Suggest

you put him midfield to replace Robbie Savage.

Chaffing update

Very chaffed, so chafed, we're chaffed off.

Editors note

The journey so far has shown us that there is strong link between cycling and

snooker.

Aaron is Cliff Thorburn, because he slowly grinds out the hills.

Forbes is 'The Rocket' Ronnie O'Sullivan, because he's fast and decisive.

Chuck is 'Hurrican' Higgins because he's always looking for the pub!

Quotes of the tour

"this isn't an endurance event! It's a holiday, have another beer" Chuck, day 3.

"the first day is flat and will be easy" Forbes, day 0

"this is relentless, my legs are tired, it feels like I've been at the gym constantly for 36 hours" Chuck, day 8

"sorry lads, that was quite hilly" Forbes, day 1 after 9 hours riding.

"have you got any Tullamore Dew?" Chuck asking for an Irish whiskey in a Scottish

pub.

"Rich, I hate you" Aaron, days 1 to 10.

"Forbes, I'm never listening to you again" Chuck, days 4 to 11
